A Visitor’s Guide to Chester’s Chair
The 1,246 year old town of Chester’s Chair lies a 20-days ride east of the tropical metropolis of Scarlet Edge on the continent of Gardenia, where the forest meets the swamp. The summers are hot and humid, the vegetation thick, and the soil fertile. Population: 4,040.
Chester’s Chair was founded by a legendary explorer, Chester St. Peters, who, during what would have been his first visit to Scarlet Edge, boldly declared “I’m too tired and won’t move another inch,” placed his chair down where he stood, and sat in it. A town sprung up around him. Passing traders would later remark, “What convenient town placement! It’s exactly at the point where I, too, get tired.”
